Domain Paking

How would you like to make money without having to do anything?

Call it domain parking.

If you never heard of domain parking, it is when you register a domain name with the intent of putting ads on it so that you can make money from the clicks of people visiting your site (domain). The point is to have lots of parked domains. If you have 100 domains averaging about $15 each, than you make $1500 a month without having to do anything at all. The big players in the industry have portfolios of over 300000 domain names!

The concept behind domain parking is easy. The problem is that most of the good domains have been registered, and finding new names is not an easy task. There are however still opportunities to make money with domain parking.

First of all you need to find a company on the internet to register your domain names. There are many companies that will do this service, but I recomment Dynadot.com. They are one of the best companies for registering domain names for a very simple reason: you can register the domain name, park it for 5 days (120 hours), and if you are not getting any traffic and clicks, you can delete the domain and get your money all back minus a 20 cent fee! The refund is in the form of a credit, but you use it to register and test another domain names. You can do this with as many names as you want at any given time and keep only the domain names from which you will make money. The name given to this activity is called “domain testing” or “domain tasting”.

It is not that hard at all for you to make money from a parked domain name. The cost to register a domain is about $9 a year, which works out to only 75 cents a month. So for all intents and purposes any domain that gives over that amount a month in revenue is profitable! And to make things sweeter, you even get the 5 day grace period to test the domain name. If before the 120 hour period is over you are still not sure if the domain name is good enough, you can delete the name and register it again right away and try it for another 5 days. All this is perfectly legal!

There are other companies that allow domain tasting, but Dynadot is the only one I know of that will allow you to test the domain names for such a low fee.

Great Hub Custodio!

It seems a great idea! Maybe I give it a try! Thanks for the info!

Just one question: after you register the domain, how do you monetize it? A simple page with adwords and affiliate programs?

Great article though I don’t understand the logic of parking domains. You can get a customized website- designed and fully optimized, content rich, PPC optimized, eye appealing website, each website consists of more than 500 web pages, you get 100% of the revenue from your domain name if you have ads on your website, no hidden costs, all for as lows as $9.00 if you use this link:
